DMC Inc. was subcontracted by a manufacturing design company to create an interface for their client, a company that makes solar cells. To begin, the UX team met with the lead engineer on the project to discuss in detail the functional requirements of the project. These functional requirements were translated into wireframes, which were then sent back to the client for review. This cycle of design and feedback continued in a micro sense, with my supervisor, and a macro sense, with the client, until there was an interface layout that worked well for the end user. We could then move onto the development of the look and feel, which pulled from the solar cell client's website branding, and was adjusted for accessibility and readability. Graphical elements were developed to show various parts of the manufacturing process.
