Pet ownership can be as stressful as it is rewarding: introducing Woofly, a one-stop shop for finding supplies, advice, activities, and other pet owners in your area. This project encouraged students to create and realize a concept for an application in functional prototypes. To begin, the idea having been decided, I developed personas for different possible users: the first time pet owner, the recently moved-in pet owner, and the owner of a medically complex pet. Each has different needs from the application, so I then created user flows for each persona to map out the functionality needed in the application. I wireframed the application’s layout while simultaneously developing the branding and design system. Finally, after receiving feedback from my professor and other students, I applied the design system to the reviewed wireframes.
